Structurally better than any cloud: in the free offline mode, dictation, transcripts and AI output are processed entirely on your device. No external service provider touches patient data, which removes the vendor question for core operation. Optional sync (Bygmind Cloud, your own Nextcloud or S3) is your deliberate decision and should be assessed as such.
Only with the patient's consent; recording confidential conversations without consent is illegal in many jurisdictions. Many practices use Bygmind differently anyway: do not record the conversation, dictate your own voice note immediately afterwards. That needs no consent, you are only recording yourself, and the time saved is the same.
No. Bygmind is a documentation tool: it records, transcribes and structures. It does not make diagnoses, give treatment recommendations or evaluate findings. The medical judgment remains entirely with you.
Health data under Article 9 GDPR demands special care. In offline mode, processing happens on your device under your control as the controller: no transfer, no processor relationship, no US cloud question. That simplifies your records of processing considerably.
