Everything can run offline, nothing has to: if you want, you connect a cloud model like Claude or GPT, and even the free version lets you back up to your own Nextcloud or S3 storage. You decide what leaves your device.
Three options: the built-in local model directly on your device, a cloud model of your choice with your own API key (Claude, GPT, Gemini), or a self-hosted model via Ollama or LM Studio on your own hardware.
Bygmind automatically separates who speaks when (diarization) and can match recurring voices. This also runs entirely on your device; no voice profiles are uploaded to any cloud.
Recording, offline transcription, speaker ID and unlimited projects are free. The AI agent works with the built-in local model or with a model of your choice; for cloud models you only pay your own API key costs with the respective provider.
