Training on user data
Otter states in its own privacy policy that it trains its AI on de-identified user audio recordings. That is communicated transparently and acceptable for many use cases. With Bygmind the question never comes up: content processed locally on your device is simply not available for training.
Where your conversations live
Otter stores transcripts and recordings in a US cloud; EU data residency is not documented. For confidential content (clients, patients, HR conversations) that means extra review effort.
